Designing An Augmented Reality Based Visual Art Tutoring System for Children in Distance Learning Environment

Recently with the emergence of Augmented Reality (AR) technologies numerous researches have shown the possibilities of using the technology for educational purposes in distance learning environment. However, little to no work has been done towards designing an AR based system for art education for children in distance learning environment. This research proposes a novel system that provides immersive visual art learning experience for primary school children with the support of AR devices including AR glasses. This research is intended to serve as an important contribution to the design of AR based systems that help children experience drawing activities with virtual tools and communicate with the instructor remotely.
